Elwood's gaze fell to the food at Kaizer's feet as the other male beckoned him closer. He wasn't overly hungry, but could spare a bite; the offer to share was a sign of respect that would earn him a point in the Beta male's book. "Thanks," the Blackthorn replied as he dropped to his haunches. He steadied the carcass with a forepaw and then ripped off a small portion with his teeth, smiling at the taste of the still-warm meat.
After he had chewed and swallowed, he leveled his gaze at Kaizer. "Where do you come from?" he asked. The red-eared male had made himself home in Redhawk Caldera quickly and was unabashedly working his way up the ranks. He had flung himself into pack life with no hesitation, and Elwood distinctly remembered the way he had eagerly hunted for Eljay.
The conversation between the two males was short and stilted; after only a few minutes, they parted ways. Elwood still wasn't quite sure what to think of the subordinate.
