She spoke cautiously, bending her limbs and lowering herself slightly, hoping that if she grabbed a hold of the male's scruff, she would not be pulled in as well.

Valkyrie pulled away just in time, and the lynx landed in the spot where she had once stood. Hackles raised, she snarled and snapped at the feline, who retreated slightly now that the ambush had been ruined. You need to hurry! She yelled down into the hole, although did not take her gaze off the interloper. It was already reluctant to fight head on with a single wolf, but the two of them would surely scare it off.
