Sylvas' ears twitched as Shalon finally began to address the small gathered group, the mercenary's golden eyes watching the Duchess as her voice seemed to tremble as she spoke, her words struggling to escape her lips as she explained the dire situation further. The male had to admit, he couldn't believe what he was hearing as amber eyes peered around the group, quietly noticing as few began to speak up against the notion. The Knight remained sat, silently listening as he watched an unknown female (to him) speak out against Shalon's shocking news. The mercenary could feel his muscles tensing beneath his pelt as he pawed at the ground, his pink tongue escaping his mouth as he licked at his dry lips, though Eden's voice sounded before his own and with reasoning.
Gradually, Sylvas rose from being seated, his golden gaze remaining upon his mate as she attempted to reason with the distressed female. Giving his bushy tail a thrash behind him, Sylvas looked toward the ground as his mind tried to make sense of all of this. Alder, the King had killed his own son and then abandoned the Court. And Aspen, the Queen had also disappeared along with one of her pups, Rose, to find the body of her murdered son. This was a lot to take in, for all of them.
Brown ears slowly laid against his skull as he let a sigh pass his leathery lips, the mercenary taking a moment to allow this tragic information to sink in. Lifting his gaze to peer around the group of wolves once more, black lips parted and Sylvas' voice sounded over the conflict of words, ”Shalon.. If this is truly the case...” He paused, almost wanting to bite his tongue due to this sensitive time, but still he continued, ”What does that mean for the pack now?” The time may not have been right, but with such news and lack of leadership, something needed to be done to save those who were left standing as the packs last pillars.
