This life is an exploration

Pump's gaze and attention was focused on the porcupine, therefore she didn't notice Diluculo approaching her, until she spoke directly. The wolf-dog shot a quick glance at the older she-wolf and furrowed her brow. She hadn't forgotten the circumstances under which Diluculo had been accepted in the pack and the way she had promised to live up to her words. Yet at one moment, when they had needed all the help they could get, she hadn't been there. Age was no excuse either - she was not that much older than Pump.

She wanted to say something, but was cut short, because the creature that had been perched up in the tree, suddenly lost balance and fell down on the grown with a flop. Pump retreated from it, sat down and watched the animal struggle to get up to it's feet, feeling pleased that for once the odds had been in her favor. "I remember someone telling me that their name alone could fend bears away," she began, while observing the creature and then turned her head to look Diluculo directly in the eyes, "Yet I don't recall seeing this someone, when we were dealing with the actual problem."
