"well," she hummed thoughtfully, her tail flicking as she padded (rather bouncily) towards her den, "there isn't much i can do for pain. i've stored some chamomile specifically for us both, but that'll mostly just relax the muscles. it'll be more comfortable, but i can't stop the contractions from doing what they're supposed to do." it was a dry joke-- she wasn't sure wildfire would think it was too funny, but it was true. childbirth was painful and tiresome, and there was little she could do to help that. "and then i have some raspberry leaves. that helps to make sure everything runs smoothly," she added with a soft shrug, "most mothers take the herbs, but i have had one or two stubborn mothers refuse. their children turned out just fine."
