To Indie’s delight, the mysterious femme entertained her playful desires and returned her splash, sending a sheet of water back towards the vaudevillian. There was a childish squeal of delight on Indie’s part, turning her head from the water so that her neck and buxom chest took the brunt force of the droplets. Indie was not opposed to wetness as she once was; now, instead, she welcomed it and loved the water for the power it gave unto her. Salt water or not — the woman now understood the role the ocean and all waters in the world played in their lives. Not that Indie was as devout as Akantha or Kalika had been or anything. Actually…
“Siren.” It was not a skill per se, but Indie amended Ty's list with a curious notch of her brow, as if Indie could not understand how the dark woman [with an appearance so similar to her own] had left that part of the alliteration out. In truth, Indie had never made it rose to the rank of a Nereides siren, but that was no matter. Who was around to tell Tytonidae [or Indie herself] otherwise? Indie was a woman who created her own reality, a woman who did not submit to the lot that life handed her. If she had, Indie would have amounted to nothing more than an orphan raised amongst criminals — even a criminal herself.
Then, without explanation, she continued. Some things were best left unexplained, if not for anything other than the simple want of intrigue. ”You’re not a bad splasher yourself,” the vixen commented, enthused by her cohort. ”Who are you?"

“what a lovely day" says the butcher as she raises her arm
