While he would never admit it out loud, Redshank didn't mind spending time with Rannoch — hell, he almost enjoyed it. The day had found them spending most of the daylight hours patrolling the borders, Rannoch teaching the younger boy all sorts of things. Of course, Redshank did his best to derail the topic at nearly every turn and so, as the sun began to set, it was only then did they finally refocus back on the topic of pack borders.

The boy idly nosed around a small rock, one large ear turning to Rannoch as he spoke. He paused, slowly turning his gaze up to the Alpha with a small, sheepish grin. "They like, surround our territory?" he tried with a wave of his tail, pulling himself upright. "An' we can't let anyone in 'em." Yeah, that was good enough.
