Morningside Cuesta ii. nine lives

Lavender lay beside her father as he kicked about in his sleep. His movements hadn't disturbed her for a little while until one of his paws managed to kick across the top of her head. It swiped her ears and she fell away, it hurt a little (which was a lot in the mind of a newborn) but she would be alright. She rolled over onto her side and let out a ear deafening screech. She flailed her little paws in the air and allowed the screech to trail off into a howl and then a wail. She wanted her parents attention, their help. Her head was hurting and she'd fallen away from her father's side, and was now flailing in what felt like nothing to her. She was falling and she couldn't get up.
