Their new companion speaks with purpose, announcing her decision to settle. Her ears fall back against her head and she glances to Silas with uncertainty. They struggle as a pair existing together but before, when she’d been alone, she’d been a lot worse. Having plateaued, Qilaq could go for something consistent. She always figured it would be back home, with her mom and dad and their future together.
