The night was slowly beginning to creep in, providing much-needed relief to Moonstone's strained eyes. Although breathtaking, they were more of a hindrance than anything, but with the longer days that came at winter's side, she knew that her suffering was just about over. The sound of a distant waterfall drew her beside a creek with silver bodies squirming left and right just beneath the surface. They seemed so uncoordinated, so sloppy, and yet all that Moonstone could see was the intricate grace of their movements. She had admired the water-dwellers since infancy, though her heart had always belonged to the earth.
With a sigh, Moonstone settled a few feet away and laid herself back for a quick rest. She would back on her feet again, soon enough, but there was nothing wrong with a nap while she recovered.
