It was a good thing too, because she had been feeling the skin break on her scruff, and it wouldn’t have been long before she could’ve gotten seriously hurt.

She scrambled to her feet as quickly as possible, whirling around to see what was happening. It was Grayday, her father to the rescue. Breathing heavily, she watched from the side. A lot of her wanted to join the fray and help her father, but she knew that would be useless, so instead she stayed back, silent.
