Clary had the right idea of where to find Ezekiel, but the wrong idea about going there. The big grey male would definitely not have approved of her going to the borders, especially so late in the day. Val probably wouldn’t either, he knew that she was a very strong and protective mother. Overall, Clary being at the borders of Easthollow at night was a big no no. So when he was almost finished doing his last patrol of the day, and he scented his small grey daughter, he knew something was up.

Worry striking his mind and heart, the brutish male raced after her, afraid that something had happened to her. He wouldn’t be able to live with himself if anything happened to any of his kids, but especially not Clary. Nobody hurts Clary. When finally he found his daughter, she was standing in front of a dark wolf, who Zeke hadn’t seen before. Obviously, this was a bad picture for him, and he didn’t pause to smell the new Easthollow smell on the dark woman’s pelt, he stepped forwards to get in between his daughter and her, a growl rising in his throat.
