Gannet was sorry to hear about his brother, and nodded in agreement to his statement.  "Mine too," he responded, thinking on Whip.  It had been a long while since he'd disappeared as well; more than a few months, he thought, though maybe it only felt that long.

"I was.." he had to think for a moment, remember the way he had returned.  The direction where he'd found the Caldera.  "South," he finally finished, smiling.  He'd met a good many interesting wolves, and it had been fun running with them a while.  "It was like this, but different."  Blissfully unaware of how very undescriptive they sentence was, he moved on.  "Have you ever gotten lost?"
