Otter Creek Do unto others

the eye contact proved successful. the green eyes met hers and she supposed that the message would soon become clear.  just as kaevo lept after the otter,  the woman deftly grasped the long bodied animal in her jaws. The otter made a sound of terror as it wiggled and squirmed, fiercly trying to escape its death. kaevo knew the hunt would be unsuccessful lest she do her part.  the gray woman had the otter pinned into place it seemed,  but she obviously could not make the kill on her own.  the darker hued wolf grasped part of the belly and tore a chunk of flesh free from its body. She continued the tearing and shredding,  the animal weakening as its blood painted the snow.  and finally,  the poor thing succumbed.

panting despite the cold, a wretched smile came to her bloody lips.  She regarded her impromptu hunting partner. "good work," she hissed brightly.  "you were fantastic.  we'll  split it? " this was the obvious answer but kaevo asked anyway to ensure that they had the same plans.
