Stone Circle You should eat me because like, I'm delicious

The cat crumpled below Murdock, screaming something that had the girl falter a moment. "I'm not-" She began, but the words dissolved on her tongue when she realized the futility of the words as the cat's retreating rear vanished in the trees. Turning her attention to Murdock, she poked briefly the shoulder of the boy, knowing that she ought to have come away with him when he'd first tugged at her tail. 

Her heart pounded still, and her words came rushed. "are you alright?" She asked, hating the thick stench of blood and its unknown source. "I'm sorry," She added with a flick of her ears, feeling somehow this to be her fault, and shifting her weight nervously as she moved toward Murdock, at a loss of what to do.
