Athan paces against the border looking for something fresh. There seems to be none; the bodies are all rotting, with flesh slothing off of the bones laid against the border and trees.
He sucks his teeth, disappointed. No doubt the wolves inside here were particularly nasty, having killed enough wolves, coyotes, and foxes to dismember and strew the body parts around the borders. Athan looked up and found one wolf staring at him. He takes a step back, wondering how many he could take before the wolf went after him.

WARNING! this boy thinks hes a vampire. regardless of the validity of this, he does get a weird kick out of biting wolves and drinking their blood and just blood in general... He considers most wolves his potential prey, and is liable to attack at random if he believes he can take down a wolf.
