The other wolf approached and exchanged a friendly muzzle touch that Gannet enthusiastically returned. He fell into an easier smile then, liking the fellow more for his open manner. He remained quiet as Terrance appeared, letting the pack wolf who was established do the initial talking.
After Dune gave his name, though, Gannet looked at Terance, then back at Dune. Presumably, neither of them knew his name either (though he thought likely Terance had heard of him). "Gannet".
