Altar of Twilight Dreams that almost feel real

Alya looked down at the creepy male, a sick feeling rising up in her chest. God, she hated it when they cowered like that. What must she look like, to have a wolf simply lie down to die? And what choice did she have but to strike down, jaws rending flesh from bone, blood pooling in the snow... she thought about dead wolves. Dead sisters.

She pulled back her head and did not look at the mess she'd made of the other creature.

"Let's go," she said quietly, turning already. "He's not worth the energy."

Maybe none of them were.
