Quixote nodded.  The ones he'd met here had so far been pretty good people.  There were still plenty he hadn't had in-depth conversations with, but eh.  So it went. Regardless, I just don't want to go through it again.  Eventually I'll run out of luck, ending in a nice swatch of gallows humor.

What else do I talk about now that it's over?  The weather?  It's not like I can rant about kids like some.  Hunting?  He left out the option of talking about the gender imbalance in the pack -- he didn't know Sebastian well enough to think that was a good idea, so would just save that one for Colt, even if the whole thing was at the front of his mind more often than not at this time of year.  Hadn't realized how socially stunted I got there.  Metaphorically living as a hermit in a cave, not just literally, apparently.
