Haha how terrifying
Leaf should not have been perturbed. After all, killing animals for food was--well, a way of life! It was their way of a life, and she should not have been taken aback as Jokull's eyes brightened with instinct and as her mouth became jaws and clamped down on the creature and as blood poured out from the punctured wounds and as a look of utter delight and satisfaction and all things that belonged to the other side of life came descending upon the little pup a wolf--but she was! Maybe there was something unnatural about the gleam that came into Jokull's eyes, though this was to be expected with a first kill. Still, the little red wolf could not help but think that maybe this little pup was somehow a natural-born killer (again, quite normative for wolves) who would one day ravage the lands. It was a ridiculous thought, and one that made her send a guilty glance towards the parents nearby. She had not meant to condemn her daughter to a life of a murderer, but all the evidence pointed to such. "Good job," she praised weakly, timidly reaching out to kiss the pup on the forehead. Gently pulling the mouse towards her, she then unceremoniously behead him, swallowed, and regurgitated the meat just as another wolf had done. Snack-time. Mouse Head Pâté. No peanut butter or crackers or raisins necessary. |
