She tensed, uncomfortable.  Olive was right; for what were they doing here?  She appreciated everything that Rannoch had done for them, but they were draining resources...and surely, this place was full of bad memories for her sister.  Oaxaca and Dakarai's death place.  

She cast a glance at the sleeping children, and wondered how much better off all of them would be if they had the resources they needed.  I know.  Our children suffer.  But.. what would Terance think?  She knew in her heart that he was as dedicated to Rannoch as she was to Olive.  Would he even come with her?  And if he did, what would Rannoch say?  I don't want to rip my family apart, Olive.

She sucked in a breath and focused on her toes, and how they felt against the dirt den, so different from the cave that she and Olive had chosen.  I'll come with you.  But I can't do it alone, Liv.  I'll need you.
