Instead of heeding the warning and taking the chance to escape, the male raised up and met Nikan's threat with one of his own. Immediately the switch was flipped and Nikan no longer cared about trying not to get wounded or cause too much trouble in the chance it brought problems to the pack, now he just wanted to show the male that this was his territory(though just for a day) and the other was not welcome any more.
