Otter Creek and she knew that soon the day would come,

She reclined onto her haunches, long tail curling as she sat.  She didn't move any closer, for she didn't want the girl to be scared.  Her ears flattened then returned to attention, and her gaze was fixed in the girl's direction but not on the girl herself.  It's quite alright.  She'd wait as long as she needed to for the stranger to open up.. or not.
