Totoka River Reflection
Crabs?! Giant crabs?! That definitely sounded like a creature from his worst nightmares, ranking right up there with ponies and Bambi.

Well. She wasn't running in the other direction yet stil at least. Driftwood supposed that was a good sign...? Her expression was difficult for him to guess the feelings behind, though. He supposed all he could really do was to continue muddling through as best he could, though. (He couldn't help but think, however, that Undersea surely had far more talented ambassadors at hand! heck, perhaps he ought to get this lady to visit there just so she could meet and talk to some of them, instead of just his own inept self and the muddy explanations he was wallowing his way through, here.)

Um, he said, trying to appear attentive and intelligent despite the way his heart was sinking. Most packs...? Well, maybe they would. Driftwood didn't really know. He squirmed just a little, and then offered a hesitant shrug as he pulled a bit of a face. ...I guess? I'm...not really sure, in all honesty. I can't remember much else. Driftwood drooped as he reluctantly made the admission; like a flan in a cupboard his ears collapsed downward, the one with the floppy tip drooping slightly further yet. But Coelacanth and Stockholm are very nice, and wonderfully welcoming to strange faces. I guess perhaps they are used to more unfamiliar wolves being about, because a number of them washed up onshore at some point, and it's not like you can really plan something like that?

His eyes brightened and his tail revived itself a little however as she talked about his beloved ocean, though. Even if it was just her admitting that on this topic she herself didn't know much. You've been missing out, then! he said with more than a hint of enthusiasm. It's so lovely to swim in, and sometimes seashells and things will wash up on the beaches—some of them are even edible. His more-habitual grin had now reappeared, as he regarded Skydance with growing happiness. Would her curiosity be piqued, would she ask him more about the seas and maybe even express an interest in visitng both it and Undersea's island itself? He hoped so. He really did feel like she would be sorely missing out if not. But then again she might honestly prefer to go around doing the tourist thing with somewolf else.
