Honeyed Pasture if teardrops could be bottled,

oof! dang it-- the more they ran the further ahead saucy got. just like belen had kicked the tar outta her in their race, so had saucy. dalia came to a stop as saucy did her little victory dances and gloats, keeling over in a heavy pant, nose towards the ground. "dang it!"  she finally said once she'd found her breathe-- but barely, it came out pretty airy and winded. her nose raised, flashing saucy a bright smile, tail flagging behind her.

"i told you," she reiterated, "it's these darned legs." she stretched the same foreleg out once again. "how'd you get so fast, anyhow, babe?" she asked her friend, rolling actually rather gracefully from her upright position and onto her side, body bathing in how cold the ground was. mmm. feel nice.
