Blackfeather Woods phantom of borrowed life

The pale child had the other exactly where she wanted. At her mercy, not sure what to believe anymore, not sure what was real and not. There was a devious smirk on the child's face that mirrored that feeling of superiority, of winning this game they were playing. Scaredy Cat repeated her word in a stammer and then slowly turned her gaze towards the wisps.

All the spirit did was nod in Scaredy Cat's direction, the smug grin fallen off her face again now as she tried to put on her best act once again. She believed about half of what she was selling anyway, which really helped with keeping up her act. Other than the grim nod, she did nothing, curious to see how else Scaredy Cat might react -- or not react.
