She was pretty, yet his interest did not go beyond this initial observation. He'd gone for the obvious catch once. Nowadays, he liked going after the most unlikely, taboo or hard-to-get candidates, evidently.

Finley and the newcomer, Kaihra, seemed to share an existing and almost sisterly bond. As he motioned for the three of them to help themselves, he queried, "Are you two sisters or something?" To include Sun Spark, he added, "Maybe instead of a blanket, we could make a shawl out of the bearskin and give it to one of these ladies."
