In a rare show of affection, Addison presses her nose to Oryx's cheek for a brief instant, then pulls away. She is glad she has her support, especially if she has lost everyone else's. The woman is strong and kind, and will make a good ally. The news she brings only heightens the Odolf's affection for her.

Thank God, she murmurs, smiling. A soft chuff of laughter escapes her, and she shakes her head, closing her eyes. Looks like she learned her place, after all. That place was never going to be here. Especially not warming my brother's den.

Good riddance, you harlot, she thinks cruelly, casting her gaze to the clouds, as if to find the Blackthorn staring back at her.
