He smirked for all of a second before his face faded back into a stoic line. He was doing better at moving on from Osprey's death these days but he still found it difficult to smile.

"I'm actually one of the primary Caretakers and that's not a half bad idea either," Peregrine said to Finley. "So... is anybody gonna eat this thing?" he wondered aloud in the next breath, eyeballing the other three.

After a moment, he dropped to his haunches and said, "Well, one way or the other, I'd like to take this chance to get to know three pack mates I don't know well yet. Tell me about yourselves. Age before beauty," he said lightly, inviting Sun Spark to go first.
