Yami frowned at his response. She didn't know Illidan well enough to have anything good or bad to say about him, but it still wasn't computing with her why Firefly was no longer the pack's alpha. If Rosalyn had dethroned him without taking his place, didn't that mean he could just... step back up? There was no one to take it from, so...

God this pack was fucked up. Yami shook her head lightly to brush the thoughts aside. Why did she bother trying to figure out how it ought to work when it was all anarchy in the end? "You should take it back," she encouraged, "I mean, doesn't seem like there's anyone to even take it from."

She frowned thoughtfully, then added after a beat, "Is this how the pack has always been? You all just... constantly fight each other for control and have someone new at the top every week? Does anyone even like each other?" Yami hadn't wanted to ask before. She hadn't felt comfortable doing so because she knew it would be obvious she was judging the hell out of all of them when she did. Firefly had been the one to bring her here, though, and she wasn't sure she could call him her friend, but he was the closest she had. And frankly, she was tired of walking on eggshells around these crazies.
