Finally it was done! For the most part, at least. Gannet's teeth hit home just as everyone else's did, and he latched on as it fell.
He couldn't see what was happening at the head, so he didn't move to assist. Instead as soon as it was downed, Gannet began to tug, hoping between all of them they could drag the body onto former ground before it began to sink further into the mire around them.
