Shocked at her own thoughts, she was frozen. Blinking through the confusion, she wondered when her opinion had changed. Admittedly he was walking as fast as she was able to. But her stubbornness clouded the rationality of her injury, and so she did something stupid. Ignoring the pain in her shoulder she ran after him, latching her teeth around the leg of the deer as it dragged on the ground. Suddenly stopping her moment, she pulled backward, in an effort to force Kavik to drop his load. Now, she was mad, glaring seafoam daggers at the alpha of her pack.
