Her brother's position gave his sister the advantage of approaching their prey from the front end. After brief, but careful deliberation, the young wolf decided to stay away from the feet that were kicking and thrashing and settled for the snout. At the right moment she attacked it, latching on the animal's nose and keeping a firm grip of it. If the deer was unable to raise it's head, it would not be able to get up either. The animal struggled and bellowed, but the girl kept her grip firm.
