It was a blur.
For a moment she was surrounded by calm, cold water that would rush to cover her paws before receding and leaving behind treasures in the wet sand. Then the next, trees were falling and sand was cutting her skin as it whipped through the sharp breezes of air. She was terrified, yet somehow alive.
Her journey felt rushed, though she had appeared somewhere that felt less dangerous considering the ocean wasn't too close to her now. The forest she passed through took damage, trees lost and landslides visible. Water draining, no sight or scent of other life. She felt alone, afraid too. Perhaps she would feel this way for awhile, however. Nothing was seemingly happening in her life.
When she saw a mountain, she was reminded of home, the comforting feeling of being snuggled up with her family in the den. Even though she held resentment for her upbringing, she still loved the memories. And thus, she rushed to the mountain, desperate to find herself a parcel to sleep. She was in no shape to climb, but she was lucky. An overhanging ledge from the mountainside made of hard rock offered her a home. It was dry, large enough to fit perhaps another wolf besides her underneath it.
Evermore felt her legs shake as she settled on the ground. She sprawled herself out, exahusted as her tongue lolled out of her mouth and her chest heaved up and down. She needed relief, she needed rest, she needed sleep. Perhaps she could fine her peace here.
