She had been forced to watch the entire scene play out below from the tree where she was safely perched. She could do nothing for her companion; she was no match for one coyote, let alone three, and so she had watched in horror as Antha fought the scavengers off, fighting and killing one while the other two took off with her meal. She peered down from her branch after everything went quiet, afraid to come down right away in case danger still lingered nearby. When things seemed safe, Lieke finally scurried down the tree but froze when the unfamiliar scent of wolf filled her busy nose. Immediately she ran back up the tree, emitting disgruntled squeaks once safely back within the branches. She wanted to check on her friend, but she didn't trust the stranger, especially after what had happened last time. So she was forced to watch again, hoping that this one wasn't set on causing anymore trouble...not that she could do much about it.
