Kintla Flatlands [BDP] Well, whatever

As they turned the focus away from home, it was easy to move on. Maybe surprisingly so but she didn't take the time to consider it. Together, bolstered by her sister's presence, she felt that fear of the unknown take a step back--she didn't need to hear from it, not up here, where their brothers couldn't slow them down or tattle on them any and Mom was nowhere near calling off their fun because she needed them elsewhere. Up here, they were.. all theirs!

Syrma's ears perked and she did wait up for her sister, but didn't stall for long; she did need them to be together, unless she was going to balk at all this unknown. Her face was bravest beside her twin. We gotta keep going! she yipped, almost wanting to laugh aloud about. Who can even get us up here?? she snickered over her shoulder--not accounting for other dangers that loomed beyond, of course, but in her fresh freedoms, these were easy to overlook.
