Ellie smirked at the male's comment about him never thinking she'd apologize. It did seem fitting -- her never apologizing, that is. She wasn't known to be very nice to anyone. But every once in a while, she found it in her heart to show a bit of kindness. He was just lucky it was one of her good days, and that she'd actually had a pleasant sleep the night before.

"So what brings you here to the forest?" he asked, and she shrugged.

"It's hot out today," she said. "The forest is nice and cool. Plus I like forests. They calm me." After a pause, she added. "I'm Ellie. I'm a loner. Who're you?"
