The scout kept the going slow, alternating between keeping her nose down low, and then up scanning ahead--neither of which was telling her much right now besides that there was little to see. When she felt motivated enough to give it a whole pause, she stopped and shook some of the snow flurries off her outer coat, then finished with a soft puff of a sigh. This much let her notice a lone presence headed this way, so she stayed put to watch him come closer. She had nothing else major to do right this second and little to lose in letting some stranger engage, assuming he wasn't here to bring violence outright.
