Kaskara agreed that it was good, definitely some of the best news she had received in a long time. Shadow replied to her question about his plans for the day and her ears perked up. A spar? She hadn't done that in ages, since she had left Dal Riata behind to seek out a life of her own. She would be rusty, that was sure, but she knew she would remember the steps as easily as breathing, if it came down to it.

She watched him, wondering. "What makes you want to spar?" It wasn't an accusatory question; she was simply curious. She had grown up sparring her brothers, her cousins, her packmates, both friendly and competitively. She didn't know it was something that others did, too, outside of the somewhat battle-driven pack of her youth. But if he wanted to spar, she could spare an hour to stretch her muscles and feel the thrill of another's body against her own, evading and attacking, just for fun.
