hunting is out of the question with his current injury, however minor it may be. it throws his balance off too much, leaves him hobbling and clumsy, so he lets @Alamar handle it for now. restless, he's taken to inspecting the landscape, noting the ways in which winter still hangs on. the whole place is cold and soggy, still transitioning into spring. dreary, he thinks, and lonely without alamar near. a large, cracked piece of bone nestled against the ground draws his attention, and he moves to inspect it without a second thought, glad for the slightly more interesting distraction. it's too damaged and incomplete to tell what kind of animal it'd been before, but he can't resist spending a few minutes trying to figure it out anyway. at least until alamar gets back.
