Her gentle smile remained. "That's okay. I'm not originally from the region myself, although it has been my home for the past year." Gosh had it really been that long? It was hard to imagine. It seemed like so much had happened in her life during such a short period of time. She tried not to think about it too much, focusing back on the present. 

She hadn't really meant to gloat, but still she was flattered by his light hearted persuasion. Her brows shot up in mock surprise as she rose smoothly off her little perch. "Oh I'd never show you up, sir!" Her wagging tail gave away her playful attitude. "That's just not me..." With just a smidge more confidence in her step now, she trotted back to the water, immersing her paws. "But I would be happy to show you my techniques..." She stepped in further, quietly so as not to disturb the current. Not a ripple...not a sound.
