Going home was supposed to mean something. Or, at least, that's what he had heard when others discussed their excitement at returning to their loved ones. Instead, the golden Ostrega felt hollow. The fire of his anger that had ignited him before had distinguished completely, and in the wake of realization of just how little he meant to the friend he had followed more loyally than anyone else... it left little to be desired at even returning. 

Of course, the wolf loped across the borders still, the one true reason of his return would hopefully be the recipient of the gift he had drug along for better part of his journey. The bison skull was impressive, though thankfully on the smaller side. It was awkward as hell to carry, but the tawny wolf began to make his way to the pups densite.

Meerkat was the only one to look forward to. And hopefully, she would be pleased with the gift he brought her.
