Haunted Wood don’t trip

The mule deer didn't expect any kind of attack on the part of the tiny creature before him. Had he a brow, it would have raised as the pup appeared to fumble for words. His eyes darted away, getting bored of the interaction. He should probably make his tacks anyways, seeing as he figured it's parents would return soon. Right? 

He was taken aback by the sudden words of attack from the pup, and he jerked his head back, assuming he would try to bite his face. Instead, the pup when for his leg, which Denton quickly pulled back. But, he was a bit too slow, and the pups teeth grabbed on to his skin, and blood began to trickle down his hoof. It was but a mere scratch to him, but he huffed in shortened patience at the sprily little wolf. But, he did not retaliate. Feisty little thing, aren't you? he said instead, almost admiring the fight he had. 

Well, if it wanted a battle, who was Denton to deny him? He stepped back, and then lowered his antlers towards the pup, stepping forward in a mock attempt to get him. He didn't move quickly as he wanted to see how the pup would react. Eight points had a good chance of poking an eye out.
