solaire prepared to follow her mother's move, shocked when the barbed fangs that she imitated came toward her. her teeth were sheathed again in her moment of surprise, as a soft umf,  a breath of air, released, knocked to her back against the ground. in time she would learn to love this, but for now the feeling was unfamiliar, her own mama clipping teeth by her neck. solaire was not alarmed, though, rather figured it a game, and struggled to rear up as she could, teeth unsheathed again as she went towards the adult's legs, clearly uneducated on technique, only interesting in returning the little nip.
