The Heartwood I'm gonna run this nothing town

It seems insults were made. 
She smirks at the tone in the man's voice. He seems to have just as much tolerance as she likely would, merely humoring and placating the brat until he outlived his usefulness, or at least, became more useful than a whining, clumbsy preteen. 
And then he asks it. The million dollar question. What was she hunting for. 
His eyes rake over her figure and she proceeds to phase 2. 
"I'm putting together a little family in Redsand Canyon. Away from the prim and frilliness of most of the packs around that seem to have their noses stuck in the air most of the time. 
But I also am afflicted with a certain craving. Since I was a pup I've taken the blood of others, and on occasion, consumed their flesh." She says this matter-of-factly, as though merely describing a type of flower she happens to be fond of.
