The black wolf had been walking for a long time now, three or four days since he'd left his last settling place. He didn't even know why he was walking here, but his paws were leading him to his place and he was merely following. He had noticed that the longer he walked, the more the landscape changed from thick towering trees to a gentle plain of grass, filled with rabbits and hares frolicking everywhere. He wondered whether anyone had discovered this place yet.
Blue gaze scanned the grass and leaped forward, his stocky build holding him back but apparently this rabbit was rather stupid and it fell limp in his muscular jaws. Farkas lapped up water from a nearby creek, and sat down to eat his rabbit. Only when his hunger and thirst had been satisfied did he notice scents lingering around, however it was not a border marker, but some wolves were here. They came here before him. But what were they doing here?
He wondered how long would it take for his curiosity to finally kill him as he made his way forward, following the scent trail. He soon found himself staring at a beautiful valley filled with soft rolling hills and prey. The river that he had dranked from led straight into the territory, winding around the shorter smaller hills.
The wolf that he smelled had been following the river, and now he did too but he wasn't following the river, instead he was following the wolf's scent trail. The sky was beginning to darken and he was happy that he had reached this place before the sun settled down and night roamed these lands. His bright gaze settled on the river as he walked, noticing that it was slowly widening, the wolf scent getting fresher.
Apparently the river ran into a large lake, he turned around and spotted a silver male lying on the grass, gazing up at the sky and he was just in time to see the sunset. Rays of soft light drifted over the hills, fiery oranges and reds along with paler pinks covered the horizon and he just stood there, gaping for a long moment at the beauty of the place.
It was only after a few minutes before he turned his attention back on the male lying on the grass and dipped his head, lowering himself onto his haunches and spoke "Hello, My name is Farkas. This place is beautiful is it not?" his tone pleasant.
