Haunted Wood feredir

The prince’s nostrils were flared wide as the stag drank in the scent of the forest and the predator that circled around him. His russet frame seemed to quiver at the prospect of being so close to the animal, but the longer that he stood in his rigid defense, the more he had realized that there was only the scent of one fanged beast.
 
“Show yourself, fanged one,” the stag demanded to the forest. The deer’s voice was rich, filled with a sound of earthly wisdom.
 
The dark glint of his gaze shot into the shadows of the wood. Rohan snorted, feeling his pride return to his figure. It wasn’t likely that one wolf would prove to be much of a threat. If there were others hiding in the darkness of the trees, Rohan knew he would be forced to flee.
