“We could use warriors, outriders and hunters, Cadfael,” he enunciated,. As if to clarify that this was indeed a formal occasion. The other had finally offered submission after making his request, which in turn, caused the large agouti wolf to relax his stance. He was content with the reasons the other had given him – and even more so with the weaknesses. Scimitar was searching for honesty, and while he doubted this was the biggest weakness the male before him held.. it was certainly testament to state such a thing when discussing his potential for joining a pack and to a stranger.
“Even more importantly, we could use a healer. Our previous one recently departed.” There was a small pause as his eyes drifted to the horizon, falling uneasily to the Sunspire. “I am Scimitar – the pack Beta. Bazi is your Alpha. Welcome to the Creek.” With that, the male prowled forward, closing the distance between the two, and without hesitance, nudged the others cheek in a friendly gesture that also placed his scent upon the swarthy male – if he was to be pack, he would need to smell like them as well. “And stay clear of members from The Sunspire pack. We have an uneasy truce.”
