The dark capped boy seemed to be preoccupied with his journey, and if so, Izumi didn't plan on getting in his way. With that in mind, she dipped her head below with the intention of finding more berries and seeing herself out. Fujiwara couldn't spend too much time dilly-dallying around and needed to find shelter soon, especially with the rain clouds that darkened the sky above. However, her attention was soon to drift again at the sound of more footsteps — this time heavier and more rushed. Izumi felt a chill down her spine, an instinctual gut feeling of impending danger that was soon to come even if it was not yet visible. 'Did they hear it too?' she thought while lifting her head up to peek at the he-wolf walking ahead. 

Her heart nearly dropped to her stomach when she finally saw the large, brown creature lumbering in that very same path. Izumi had never seen such a thing before and wasn't gonna stay long to find out. But the boy — he just stood there and stared. 'Why aren't running? Couldn't you see that you're about to be killed? Are you suicidal!?' So many questions storming through her head about what was going on and at this point, she as more concerned about him being mauled than running away.

"Idō shinaide kudasai!" The fact that the dark capped boy probably didn't understand her wasn't important in Izu's moment of franticness. The crane's long, slender legs made a dash over the bushes and galloped towards the male, using any bodyweight she had to try and ram into them and away from the bear's path. Who gave a shit if it hurt afterward? Her only hope was that she actually managed to push them away from the ursine's jaws.
