Eventually his brother led him to a stop and his eyes fell upon him as his dark visage surveyed what lied ahead of them. Altair mirrored this, though he did not immediately pick out anything that told him they had stumbled across something. His brow furrowed, eyes narrowing, but it did not aid him this time. There was naught to be seen, which made the question that Atlas asked all the more important to answer.
An uncertain note found its way into his throat, but Altair smothered it there. He wouldn’t answer with uncertainties; he drew in a breath instead to mull over the scents that he found there. Some of them he was familiar with, others not so much, but the breadth of Moonspear was considerable and all the faces therein a kaleidoscope cast. There was prey to be found beneath those common markers however, and he went with the strongest one he could sense.
“Rabbits?” His brow was still knit with uncertainty, but he reiterated as his features relaxed. “I can smell the rabbits. There were, are birds too,” he decided with a nod to himself. But it was the reassurance that he sought next as his gaze tore away from the scenery and back to Atlas, hoping to catch if he was right or not.
